The project reuses and restores the buildings of a former farmstead that was converted to a commercial nursery in the 1960s and subsequently remained vacant for around two decades.
The existing barns and original timber structures are retained and carefully adapted to create a four-bedroom family home. Open ground-floor spaces and a gallery-style stair create a strong relationship between the historic structures and the landscape, with the spaces between the barns forming an important part of the overall design.
