At Wimshurst Pelleriti we are creative in our design, attentive to our clients’ expectations and considered in our approach. The cornerstone of our practice is our belief that good architecture should not just appeal on an aesthetic or economic level, it should also be forward-thinking and enhance the health and wellbeing of the end-user and the community it serves. Our approach integrates research and development, the use of innovative materials, a willingness to view problems from all angles, and a desire to deliver positive social impact. Using our team’s considerable knowledge, skill and experience, we create beautiful and practical architecture that exceeds expectations.
We also develop our own buildings and so in some cases we act as both architect and client. This gives us an invaluable ability to understand the client’s point of view and the construction process from every perspective.
Prior to founding Wimshurst Pelleriti, the core team worked together at Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners (RSHP), an architectural practice with unparalleled design excellence in its DNA. Wimshurst Pelleriti has grown rapidly, drawing in other talented young architects with the aim of bringing a bold and refreshing approach to the design process.
While working at RSHP, the founding partners led teams that designed and delivered a wide range of award winning buildings. Perhaps the most prominent project was Maggie’s Centre in London that won the 2009 RIBA Stirling Prize. The team also designed the new 14 storey cancer centre for Guy's Hospital in London. What links these projects with Wimshurst Pelleriti is a vision and ambition that facilitates high quality buildings that are ethically designed, have a positive social impact within their community and give long lasting pleasure to their users.
Leo co-founded Wimshurst Pelleriti in 2015 after many years at RSHP as a project architect most recently running the new cancer centre for Guy's Hospital. He began his education at the University of Florence before also working at notable architects Renzo Piano Building Workshop and Hopkins.
Will co-founded Wimshurst Partners in 2013 before the company re-branded to Wimshurst Pelleriti in 2015. He gained experience as an Associate at RSHP acting as project architect on the Stirling prize winning Maggie's Centre in Hammersmith. Will is also on the design review panel in Wandsworth and Fulham for large scale projects in the area.
Tom manages the business and development side of Wimshurst Pelleriti. He brings a vast amount of experience from the financial and trading industries. Tom co-founded Wimshurst Partners with his brother in 2013.
